As a lifelong fan of J.R.R. Tolkien, visiting The Eagle and Child was a dream come true. The pub's rich history and literary significance make it a must-visit for any book lover. The interior is charmingly quaint, and the staff were incredibly friendly. We enjoyed a hearty meal of traditional British fare, and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing afternoon. Although the disabled access could be improved, the overall experience was fantastic. Highly recommend!
